The City of San Augustine is accepting applications for a Street Maintenance Worker.  Job description can be obtained from City Hall.  A Commercial Driver’s License and operating experience with trucks and/or heavy equipment is preferred. If not in possession of a Texas CDL, one must be earned within 6 months of hire. All completed applications and resumes are to be submitted to the City of San Augustine, 301 South Harrison Street, San Augustine, TX  75972.  Applications will be taken through July 12, 2019.  Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a general labor position, and it will include:

  • Street Repair
  • Use of light equipment such as chainsaw or weed eater
  • Use of dump truck, backhoe or excavator
  • General maintenance or clean up tasks
  • Other tasks as required such as using more manual tools like shovels, etc

Pay will depend on qualifications of the applicant. Please don't call City Hall repeatedly. Management will call you if your qualifications are a good fit only after we have taken in resumes until about July 1.
